Great results for the Sutton girls over the weekend. Aisling O' Connor won the Shankhill Indoor open after battling through 4 tough matches. The event brought together some of the countries best players. Ali O' Dea had a great run, only missing out on the final after a champ tie break in the semis.

Emma Hickey travelled to Kilmarnock, Scotland to play her first LTA event on the British Junior Tour and came back as champion after winning the girls U12 event

More great results for the Sutton guys over the weekend. Emma Hickey won her 2nd tournament of the mid term winning the glasnevin Junior Open.

On the International front Fernando Garcia Seebar won his first ITF title winning the doubles in Castlebar.

In the u18 league our girls are through to the semis after a brilliant 2/1 win over Cellbridge in the quarters. Well done Aisling, Ella, Sarah and Caoimhe!

Last Monday we ran the Northside Challenge Cup. Sutton, Clontarf, Malahide and Casteknock were each represented by 8 of their best juniors u12 and u14. Thanks to the coaches and parents of the other clubs for supporting the event and managing the teams on the day. Big thanks to the players who put on a great display of high class tennis. In thr end the Sutton team took victory by just 2 points from Malahide

Almost 100 juniors ghosted into the club on Friday night for a spooktacular evening of Monster Tennis! We could scare-cly boo-lieve how many brilliant costumes were on show. Well done to our best dressed and everyone who took part! The whole evening was played in great spirit

Big well done to our stars and stripes teams who finished their campaigns this evening. The boys reached the cup final finishing runners up to glasnevin. Our girls lost a narrow semi final to clontarf. The league is all about giving junior players a chance to compete at their own level. In all 25 Sutton players represented the club over the league. Big thank you to Allison Nolan from Malahide Tennis club who has been running the northide stars and stripes league since the beginning.

We were delighted to have our Monster Tennis back on our Junior Calendar again this year. We had over 90 juniors down this evening for tennis, pizza, & treats.
Well done to all our witches, wizards, goblins, & Disney characters on their fantastic outfits. A spooktacular evening was had by all 🤯🧛🏻‍♂️🧙🏻‍♂️🎃

Dylan entered one of the biggest European junior tournaments of the year seeded 9/16 and swept away all of his competition in convincing style, dropping only 1 game throughout the weekend, to take the prestigious Super Series Boys U/19 Nordic Junior Open title! Dylan’s hard work training with the Irish Squash PSA squad in Sutton over the summer is already paying huge dividends. This fantastic win for Dylan is the perfect start to his goal of reaching #1 in the U/19 European rankings this season.

Once again Sutton’s Squash players have shown their dominance on the Irish Squash Tour with 4 Sutton players contesting the semi finals.

David Ryan beat Alex smith in a tight five setter on very fast courts 3/2 (12/10, 10/12, 8/11, 11/3, 11/7)

Sam Buckley beat Michael Creaven 3/0 (11/5, 11/7, 11/8)

Sam took the title win a 3/0 win against David (11/6, 12/10, 11/2)

Gavin L’Estrange beat Kevin Knox 3/1 to take 5th place.

Latest u12 stars and stripes game was Saturday against Castleknock. Its a northside league that gives juniors a first taste of team competition against other clubs. We rotate who plays every week to give loads of kids a chance to play!

Today marked Elva McCormacks last day working in Sutton LTC. Elva served the club for 19 years and was that first friendly face so many members new and old met when they came to our club. Elva will be dearly missed by all of us in Sutton but she's promised to pop in for a few visits in the future. Good luck Elva on the next adventures and enjoy retirement!
