The Senior Club Championships finish this weekend with finals taking place this weekend on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th September

On Friday 27th Sept  the Bar Committee are hosting one of their popular cocktail nights and John B will be providing his fabulous bespoke cocktails for the occasion

On September 28th we have our traditional “At Home”. Dinner, Drinks and DJ to end a great summer of tennis.

Irish Masters 50s, 55s & 60s Interprovincials

The Irish Masters 50’s, 55’s and 60’s took place in Catholic Institute Athletic Club in Limerick this weekend.  Leinster won the 2024 Interprovincial title and Sutton LTC was represented by Carmel O Hare, Una McEntee and Heidi Higgins.

Carmel O Hare played on the O55’s team and Heidi Higgins played on the O.50s team, with both teams finishing Runner-Up in their sections.  Una McEntee played on the O.60s team which won their group.

September Junior Coaching

Thanks to everyone who has signed up for Junior Coaching. We have a huge demand this year and have done our best to include everyone at the day and time they are looking for.

All invoices are set up for juniors involved on their smartclubcloud account.

We only now have spaces in some of our 2pm classes for age 5 and 6. All other classes Monday to Friday have a waiting list. 

Spaces are also open in all our Saturday match play sessions.

Junior Opens and League

Plenty of our junior tennis players were in competition over the weekend. Api Mahdavi Ferjan made the final of the Tour 100 event in DCU. Holly Lindsey, Freya Harte and Aisling MacCanna also competed. 

We had plenty of junior league action to with our u14s and u18s all in action. Stars and stripes also kicked off with our guys taking on Glasnevin!

Ladies Wednesday Morning Time Tennis Resumes 

Ladies Time Tennis resumed  on Wednesday 4 September after the summer break.

Tennis starts at 10am and finishes at 12 noon followed by coffee/tea in the Lounge

Sign in with Carmel at 9.45am in the Lounge.  Cost €2

All ladies welcome and we hope to see lots of new faces, especially new members in September

Mens & Ladies DLTC Senior Leagues

This weekend our mens and ladies teams play the last of their Round Robin matches in Senior league across all age groups.

DLTC Floodlight League

Floodlight League got underway this week and we have 3 mens teams and 3 ladies teams competing. The Ladies 2nd team in Class 2  and Mens 1st team in Class 1 recorded wins in their first matches.

Summer Handicaps Update

We ask all players taking part in the remaining matches of the Summer Handicaps to play their matches to the round deadlines.  Quarter-finals to be played by 18th September and Semi-finals to be played by 25th September.

Please keep in mind that the Senior Club Championships will be starting next week and courts will be in high demand.

Finals will take place on Saturday 28th September and, if required for scheduling purposes, also on Friday 27th September.   Finalists need to be available on both dates.

For players new to competition in Sutton LTC, the Summer Handicaps finish on finals day 28th September and finals cannot be played past this date.

Reminder to players players who book courts and cannot avail of their booking to cancel on the system.  This allows other members to book the courts as they become available..  Thank you for your cooperation

Update your Tournament Software Account

As our busy tennis calendar gets underway we are asking players and parents/guardians of our junior players  to log into their ti.tournament software accounts and check that all details ie Club, email address and mobile numbers are up-to-date.

In particular, please ensure that your mobile number is in the mobile number field in your account.  This will ensure that you will receive text updates during tournaments when necessary.

To change Club on your account please email info@tennisireland.ie to request a change to Sutton LTC from your previous club

Please see the hooks now provided for our clay court drag mats. Please leave them on the hooks after use to protect the bristles. 

If any member notices any issues with the courts ie broken net bands etc please report the fault to the office and it will be repaired.

Sutton LTC Padel Championships 2024

We are delighted to announce that entry opens for our Sutton LTC Padel Championships 2024 tomorrow,  Friday 20th September at 9am.

Tournament dates: 30th September - 19th October

 Senior Sports, Senior Intermediate, Intermediate members and junior members 14yrs & older (born 2009 or later) are eligible to enter

Finals take place on Saturday 19th October at 5pm.    Players with limited availability should only enter one event.    Players must be available to play at 5pm on Saturday 19th October..

Breanne will take on Michaela Čepová on Wednesday at 3.30 local time and Sam waits for a previous match to decide his opponent.

The Junior Squash Coaching has started and there are only a few places left.

Classes run on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Course runs on a six week rollover basis at a cost of €65 for the six weeks.
