Organised Tennis and an opportunity for players to try Padel from 7pm-9pm.   All standards catered for.

Junior Summer Programme 2024

Ciaran McCarthy is our Junior Steward for the summer and the programme will start on 24th June and will run every afternoon for the whole Summer

Leinster O.75 Team at SLTC

As announced previously, Corry de Jongh has been selected to represent Leinster at the upcoming Super Senior Interpros.  We were delighted to welcome Corry and her fellow team members to Sutton for a practice on Wednesday 1 May.   Best of luck to Corry and her team in Lansdowne on the weekend of the 9th/10th May.

The Irish Ladies O.50yrs+ team competing in the Maria Esther Bueno Cup in the ITF Masters World Tennis Championships is captained by Sutton LTC’s Heidi Higgins.

Senior Opens

Well done to Tom Barry who won the Mens 65 Singles  and 60 doubles at the Tour 1000 event in Naas. Tom went through both draws without dropping a set. Two more trophies to add to Tom's already packed Trophy cabinet! 

Congratulations to Nessa Goodman who reached the final of the Class 5 & Below Mixed doubles partnered by her nephew Rory Goodman (Charleville LTC).  Anthony Loreau reached the semi-finals of the Mens Class 4 & Below Singles and narrowly missed out on a spot in the final losing in a close championship tie-break in the semi-final

The Castleknock Junior Open continues for our Juniors is Castleknock this weekend. The tour 1000 and 200 event will both have some Sutton interest

Junior League

Leinster Junior league is nearing completion with the last round robin matches being played.   Our U15 Boys and U15 SLTC 1 Mixed League teams have reached the playoff stages.  The U15 Boys 1 play Clontarf in the semi-finals at home in SLTC on Sunday 12th May at 5.30pm.  Our SLTC Mixed 1st team in Division play Carraig away also on Sunday 12th May at 5.30pm.

Best of luck to all our teams finishing their round robins and in their playoffs.

Senior Tennis Calendar 2024

We have some changes to our senior competition calendar this year. All your favorite comps are still there but note the dates now of the handicaps and the masters. In particular we are bringing the masters events into the warmer part of the year so all that great tennis will be played in warm sunshine now!

Update your Tournament Software Account

As our busy tennis calendar gets underway we are asking players and parents/guardians of our junior players  to log into their ti.tournament software accounts and check that all details ie Club, email address and mobile numbers are up-to-date.

In particular, please ensure that your mobile number is in the mobile number field in your account.  This will ensure that you will receive text updates during tournaments when necessary.

To change Club on your account please email info@tennisireland.ie to request a change to Sutton LTC from your previous club

Ladies Wednesday Morning Time Tennis 

Ladies Time Tennis resumes next Wednesday 10th April and is moving back to its original time of 10am -12noon

All ladies welcome and we hope to see lots of new faces, especially new members during February

Please see the hooks now provided for our clay court drag mats. Please leave them on the hooks after use to protect the bristles. 

If any member notices any issues with the courts ie broken net bands etc please report the fault to the office and it will be repaired.

SENIOR SQUASH

SENIOR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Irish Squash Team start ed their challenges in the European Championships and what a rollercoaster. They played No: 1 seeds in their first match and made a real effort all round. Sam Buckley played Marwan ElShorbagy No:10 in the world and treated us all to a great game.

They played Wales on Thursday morning and put up an amazing effort. Conor Moran beat his opponent 12/10 in the 5^th. Fantastic result. Sam, once again was up against it playing No:9 in the world, Joel Makin. What an experience. So Proud of them.

They are finished their Pool matches now and will play in the 1/8 draw for places.

The team is entirely made up of Sutton Squash Players who have earned their places from ranking points gained throughout the season at Irish Squash Tour Events.

ONCE AGAIN, We are so delighted to say that all players are from Sutton LTC and Eoin Ryan is their coach.

We will keep you updated as they go. This will be a fantastic experience for our young team who will play some of the best players in the world.

Category for all standards plus the return of our historic HandiCap Event.

All matches will be scheduled and courts assigned. If you have any restriction please let us know before draw is completed, however especially if you are entering 2 events you will have to be available throughout the week.

Players can enter 2 sections. Junior age 14 or up and can only enter Mens A and B or Ladies A.

Cost:

€30 for Adult entry plus Dinner

€20 for Junior Entry, No Dinner
