Junior Spring Champs

What a great week was had by our juniors last week. 108 players took part and played nearly 300 matches over 4 days. Well done to all the players who took part. Thanks to Rob, Barbara, Helen, Charlie, Sophie and anyone else who helped throughout the week. Loads of our older juniors helped throughout the week with special mention to Lucas McHugh who ran our Orange ball event. Check out all the scores on the link.

Junior Opens

Well done to Emma Hickey who won the Tour 500 event in Carrigaline. Emma battled through some tough matches on her way to the title. Ciaran McKenna came very close to picking up the Boys U16 Tour 500 title in Brookfield. Ciaran lost 11/9 in the champ tie break of the final. Well done to Lucy Cahir who made the U14 Tour 200 final in Kilkenny yesterday. Like Ciaran, Lucy only missed out in the championship tie break.

Senior Spring Championships 2024

Entry open for our Senior Spring champs. Events for all levels in singles, doubles and mixed. We would love to see as many members as possible supporting the tournament.

Mixed and Doubles Events - enter without a partner.  Graded draw for partners will be made by Tennis Committee

Players need to be available to play as scheduled from April 9th to April 19th. If you have limited availability over that time please limit your entry to 1 event maximum. Juniors aged 15 and above this calendar year can enter too.

Round Robins

New Round Robins for seniors are now posted on our new site clubmanager365.com. You can access your group along with contact details for your opponents. Matches to be completed by April 21st.

Super Senior Interprovincials

Congratulations to Corry de Jongh who has been selected to play in the Super Senior Interprovincials in Lansdowne LTC in May.   

Senior Tennis Calendar 2024

We have some changes to our senior competition calendar this year. All your favorite comps are still there but note the dates now of the handicaps and the masters. In particular we are bringing the masters events into the warmer part of the year so all that great tennis will be played in warm sunshine now!

Update your Tournament Software Account

As our busy tennis calendar gets underway we are asking players and parents/guardians of our junior players  to log into their ti.tournamentsofware accounts and check that all details ie Club, email address and mobile numbers are up-to-date.

In particular, please ensure that your mobile number is in the mobile number field in your account.  This will ensure that you will receive text updates during tournaments when necessary.

To change Club on your account please email info@tennisireland.ie to request a change to Sutton LTC from your previous club

Courts & equipment on court

Please see the hooks now provided for our clay court drag mats. Please leave them on the hooks after use to protect the bristles. 

If any member notices any issues with the courts i.e. broken net bands etc please report the fault to the office and it will be repaired.

4 SUTTON TEAMS IN FINALS OF LEINSTER SQUASH CUP  

Ivy Hadden Trophy Womens Premier, Mens Club Championships Mens Premier,  Mens Division 3 and Division 6 have reached the Cup Finals. They will take place in Fitzwilliam LTC on 11^th April.

JUNIOR SQUASH

GOOD LUCK IN CARDIFF

Harry Yeomans, Samuel Hann and Lucy Walsh will head to Cardiff this weekend to join the U/13 and U/15 Irish Squash Teams taking part in the 5 Nations.

This is a very special Event between Ireland, England, Scotland, France and Wales.

Harry will play on the U/13 team with Samuel and Lucy on the U/15 team.

We wish them the best of luck.
