Senior Spring Championships 2024

Entry open for our Senior Spring champs. Events for all levels in singles, doubles and mixed. We would love to see as many members as possible supporting the tournament.

Players need to be available to play as scheduled from April 9th to April 19th. If you have limited availability over that time please limit your entry to 1 event maximum. Juniors aged 15 and above this calendar year can enter too.

Round Robins

New Round Robins for seniors are now posted on our new site clubmanager365.com. You can access your group along with contact details for your opponents. Matches to be completed by April 21st. 

Senior Tennis Calendar 2024

We have some changes to our senior competition calendar this year. All your favourite comps are still there but note the dates now of the handicaps and the masters. In particular we are bringing the masters events into the warmer part of the year so all that great tennis will be played in warm sunshine now!

Update your Tournament Software Account

As our busy tennis calendar gets underway we are asking players and parents/guardians of our junior players  to log into their ti.tournamentsofware accounts and check that all details ie Club, email address and mobile numbers are up-to-date.

In particular, please ensure that your mobile number is in the mobile number field in your account.  This will ensure that you will receive text updates during tournaments when necessary.

To change Club on your account please email info@tennisireland.ie to request a change to Sutton LTC from your previous club

Easter Camp

We have a tennis camp in the second week of the holidays. Sign for members is on smartclubcloud.com. The camp is open for ages 5 to 12. Players will be split into groups of their own ages and friends.

Non members can sign up too and try tennis for a week before joining the club. Contact Andrea in the office to confirm your spot.

Ladies Wednesday Morning Time Tennis 

Ladies Time Tennis is taking a break for Easter and will resume on Wednesday 10th April at 10am -12noon

All ladies welcome and we hope to see lots of new faces, especially new members during February

Senior and Junior Tennis Round Robins

Round Robins will be posted on our clubmanager365 as soon as we can. There is a bit of work getting them all transferred to new system so please be patient as we complete this.

Tennis Ireland have brought out the 2024 calendar. This is great to have this in advance. You can now filter to the level of event you only wish to see and add it to your calendar on your mobile. Start planning for 2024.

Junior Tennis Coaching Programme 

Our February Junior Coaching Term has started. Thank you to everyone who has signed up.

Players can still join classes now but will only be charged from the week they start.

The final week of term is April 8th (after Easter holidays). All players in the current term will have 1st preference on places for this coming term.

Due to school and public holidays please note the dates of this term. No coaching the weeks of February 12th (mid term break) or weeks of March 25th and April 1st (Easter break).  No coaching on Monday February 5th or Monday March 18th. 

Monday Classes  - 6 week term. Adjusted due to public holidays

Tuesday to Saturday Classes - 8 week term.

Courts & equipment on court

Please see the hooks now provided for our clay court drag mats. Please leave them on the hooks after use to protect the bristles. 

If any member notices any issues with the courts i.e. broken net bands etc please report the fault to the office and it will be repaired.

BREANNE FLYNN REPRESENTS IRELAND

IRISH SQUASH SQUAD NAMED FOR ESF EUROPEAN TEAM DIVISION 3 SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024

Irish Squash have selected Breanne Flynn to join the team for 2024 ESF European Division 3 Squash Championships in Bucharest, Romania from April 17^th – 20^th.

ESF EUROPEAN INDIVIDUAL U19 SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024

2 Sutton U/19 Juniors have travelled to Romania to take part in the Annual European Individual Championships. The event starts on 23^rd March and is a prelude to the Team Championships.

Good Luck to Tristan Snodgrass and Ella Walsh

With 67 boys and 52 Girls U/19 they will have a chance to play some of the best in Europe.

The U15 & U17 European team championship start in Porto, Portugal on Thursday 9th May and

IRISH SQUASH - 5 NATIONS TEAMS ANNOUNCED

Irish Squash has announced the Under 13 and Under 15 team to play in the 5 Nations tournament between Ireland, France, Wales, England & Scotland. The tournament will be held in the Squash Wales Centre in Cardiff from Friday 5th April to the 7th.

We wish all the players the best of luck and congratulate them on their selection for the international team.
