Sutton hosted u10, u12, u14 and u16 Tour Leinster events this week. It gave our own players a chance to compete versus kids from other clubs. Linus Burke was our top performer making the semis of the boys u14s. Rob was tournament referee for all events and Charlie McKeever did a great job as our court supervisor.
Good luck to Ciaran McKenna today who plays the final of the Tour 500 event in Wallace Park in Northern Ireland
Dutch Bowl
Emma Hickey had a great run in the Dutch Bowl. It’s part of the Ten Pro global tour. Emma reached the semi final of her age group after some great wins vs players from Holland, Greece and Croatia. Emma also reached the plate final in the older age group.

Breathwork Classes
These classes will begin end of February. See posters attached with information on the classes and Niamh who will be taking the classes.
Breathwork Class - SuttonI’m Niamh, a breathwork facilitator and trainee yoga instructor.
I qualified as a facilitator a few years ago and practice daily myself. The benefits are endless but mainly you become less stressed, overwhelmed and you react differently to challenges that life throws at us.
My goal is for you to leave class with a sense of calm and peace and the added benefit of a good night’s sleep. In time with daily practice, you will notice the changes.
These classes are not intense, the intention is to slow everything down by moving from the ‘fight and flight’ to ‘rest and digest’ mode.
What to expect in my classes?
A relaxed paced class that helps you unwind and allows for some gentle self-care.
These breathwork classes are slow paced whereby each week we start with some light stretching to prep our bodies for breathwork. We will spend time understanding how to use different breathwork techniques that will help you minimise anxiety, stress and overwhelm. In addition, it will help improve sleep, focus and concentration. All the techniques assist with lowering blood pressure, reducing cortisol levels, boosts the immune system and improves cognition.
The breathwork sessions are calm and not somatic as the idea is for you to learn how to practice on your own and understand how this can help you in your day-to-day life if done frequently. And the added bonus is that it only takes a few minutes and you can do them anywhere.
The class will suit all ages and especially those new to breathwork but they are not suitable if you are pregnant.
Looking forward to having you in class.

Snooker
Handicaps
Congratulations to the winners of our Snooker Handicaps!!
In the Singles Final James Bradley beat Harry O'Neill in a dramatic final frame black ball to take the Pat McNamara Trophy.
Harry had won the Doubles Final the previous week partnering his father Gerry to beat Ed O'Neill & Gerry Lawlor in another tight game for the Gary Morrissey Trophy.
A special shout out to our joint handicapper Gerry Lawlor whose help insured that the matches played were competitive affairs for all standards with many games decided on the pink or black ball.
