Padel Update
We are right on track with the development plan of the Padel Courts with works to begin next week commencing Monday 12th February. You will start to see materials, trucks, workmen etc… onsite at the club so please be careful during this time and ensure Health & Safety for all. Tennis Court 3 will be unplayable from Monday 12th February until the Padel Court works are completed – please follow directions at all times for access to the other courts around the fenced off areas.
Gym Day Passes
Please be aware that Gym Day Passes are not available for sale going forward. Gym members cannot bring in guests anymore. The usage of the gym & equipment is exclusive to SLTC Members only.
Gym Classes
There has been a noticeable increase in Gym class no shows and late cancellations lately, which is unfair to other members who may be on a waiting list for these classes and couldn’t get booked in before they sold out. Please ensure you don’t book if you are not going to attend, and if you are not able to attend for any last-minute reason then cancel as early as possible allowing members on the waiting list to book in instead.

Breathwork Classes
These classes will begin end of February. See posters attached with information on the classes and Niamh who will be taking the classes.
I’m Niamh, a breathwork facilitator and trainee yoga instructor.
I qualified as a facilitator a few years ago and practice daily myself. The benefits are endless but mainly you become less stressed, overwhelmed and you react differently to challenges that life throws at us.
My goal is for you to leave class with a sense of calm and peace and the added benefit of a good night’s sleep. In time with daily practice, you will notice the changes.
These classes are not intense, the intention is to slow everything down by moving from the ‘fight and flight’ to ‘rest and digest’ mode
What to expect in my classes?
A relaxed paced class that helps you unwind and allows for some gentle self-care.
These breathwork classes are slow paced whereby each week we start with some light stretching to prep our bodies for breathwork. We will spend time understanding how to use different breathwork techniques that will help you minimise anxiety, stress and overwhelm. In addition, it will help improve sleep, focus and concentration. All the techniques assist with lowering blood pressure, reducing cortisol levels, boosts the immune system and improves cognition.
The breathwork sessions are calm and not somatic as the idea is for you to learn how to practice on your own and understand how this can help you in your day-to-day life if done frequently. And the added bonus is that it only takes a few minutes and you can do them anywhere.
The class will suit all ages and especially those new to breathwork but they are not suitable if you are pregnant.
Looking forward to having you in class.
