National Indoor Junior Championships

The event brings together the top players in each age group in one of the biggest tournaments of the year. The event is held in Castleknock tennis club over two weekends. Eoin Quinn is through to the quarter finals of the Boys U18 singles and will play this Friday night at 6:30pm.

Ciaran McKenna and Gavin Murphy both made it through to the last 16 but lost out to high seeded players. Emma Hickey came very close to knocking out the number 5 seed losing out 7/5 in the 3rd set. Well done guys

Ladies Wednesday Morning Time Tennis -  New January time

Ladies Time Tennis is taking a break for Christmas and will resume on Wednesday 10th January at the new time of 11am - 1pm.    

This time change is to accommodate trial access for this official Club Event to indoor courts for a 4 week period after which the trial will be reviewed.

All ladies welcome and we hope to see lots of new faces in January

Nearly every match was played in this phase. We have left them up for this week for the last couple to get played! Draw for prizes will be at the end of this week

Please see the hooks now provided for our clay court drag mats. Please leave them on the hooks after use to protect the bristles. 

If any member notices any issues with the courts ie broken net bands etc please report the fault to the office and it will be repaired.

Congratulation to Conor Moran – Winner of the Men's A PSA Challenge Cup in Old Belvedere Squash Club.

Conor beat his brother Dylan, who was home for Christmas from his College in the USA. Conor won 3/0. In 3^rd place was Dean Dromgoole.

Swipe Cards & Gym Entry

We have noticed an increased number of members using other members swipe cards to gain entry to the gym. Please swipe in using your own access card, even if you are entering with another member. Those who have forgotten swipe cards please ask a member of staff for entry to the gym, do not use another members card.

There will be spot checks in the gym to ensure members are using their card for access.

We will also be ensuring there is no non-members in the gym, anyone bringing in non-members not following the correct procedures to the gym will face sanctions.
