Please let us know asap! We want to get teams sorted early so everyone has plenty of practice time in advance of week 1
Winter League starts on Sunday 21st January and the round robin stage runs for 5 weeks on the following dates:
Jan 21st, 28th, Feb 11th, 18th, 25th
DLTC Winter League is for Senior Sports, Intermediate & Senior Intermediate members. Junior players aged 14yrs + on 31 December 2023 are also eligible to play.
This is a competitive interclub doubles league with 6 players on a team.
Matches are played in Sutton LTC or away in other clubs on the date and time on the schedule which is published by DLTC.
Men's Matches - Sundays 11am & 9.20am
Women's Matches - Sundays 2pm & 3pm
Players should be available for 4 out of 5 round robin matches. Players not named on a team will be registered as a substitute.
Teams are selected in order of merit and SLTC have teams from Class 1 - Class 7 in both mens & ladies winter league.
Juniors turning 15 in 2024 are now eligible for our Senior teams
If you are interested in being considered for selection for a winter league team please email tennis@suttonltc.com with your availability by Friday 10th November
Stars & Stripes Northside league
Plenty new players getting a chance to play last weekend. The boys were in Glasnevin and the girls head to Skerries this week.

Courts & equipment on court
Please see the hooks now provided for our clay court drag mats. Please leave them on the hooks after use to protect the bristles.
If any member notices any issues with the courts ie broken net bands etc please report the fault to the office and it will be repaired.
Ladies Wednesday Morning Time Tennis
Ladies Time Tennis will be taking a break for August and will resume in September.

Sutton Teams continue to dominate the Leinster Squash Leagues with wins all round.
We invite all members to come along and support our teams on their return to League Squash.

The Sutton Senior Squash Rankings are now available on the Squash Notice Boards and Challenge sheets are now open. Please familiarise yourselves with the rules and Challenge away.

LEARNING THE RULES OF SQUASH AND REFEREEING
Irish Squash and World Squash would like to encourage every player to learn the Rules of Squash and learn how to referee a match. Check out link below to see Videos, Quizzes and lots more.
New Irish Squash Policy on playing squash and understanding the rules:
To enhance player safety and enjoyment it is Irish Squash policy to recommend to all squash players that they have a sufficient level of understanding of the Rules of Squash that they would achieve a WSO Level 0 qualification. For those who play competitively it is recommended that they achieve a Level 1 WSO qualification.
