    Sustainability

We are dedicated to growing our green footprint and being more sustainable in SLTC and you will notice some minor additions or changes over the coming days, weeks & months.  There will be additional internal recycling bins to segregate the various items like paper, cardboard, plastic etc… plus, you may have noticed our ‘The Dogs Balls’ bin at the front door which is recycling used tennis balls for anyone that wants them and don’t be shy in putting in your own used balls when they can’t be used for tennis any longer. This along with our wild-garden area beside the practice courts, and the various recycling bins for glass and so on behind the squash courts puts us in a great position already. The Management Committee are also exploring larger sustainability projects to see if they are viable to implement, if they are you will see them progressing as soon as possible.

    Security

The changing room door controls are now fully operational, and we are reviewing the costs involved in updating the entire door access control system – please ensure that you do not jam open doors, stop them from closing automatically or forget your cards when trying to gain entry. If you have lost your card or the current one does not work, please contact the reception to organise a new one. You can also pop your head in the reception window when passing to get your photo updated on the membership system! Remember, it’s your club and with a little effort from everyone we will see continued improvement and safety & security for all.
