Spot Checks
We will be doing random spot-checks on membership cards for all facilities and sports, this is to ensure that no non-members are using the facilities, so please ensure you have your membership card on you at all times. If you do not have a membership card please contact Andrea in the club office

ITF World Tennis Team Masters Championships 2023
Congratulations to Sutton LTC player, Sean O Dwyer, who has been selected for the Irish team to travel to Mallorca this week to compete in the ITF World Tennis Team Masters 2023. This event is for players in the over 65/70/75/80 and 85 age groups)
Play starts on Sunday 8th October to Friday 13th October 2023 and we wish Sean all the best in his event which is the Men's Over 85yrs competition which is played for the Lorne Main Cup
Accompanying Sean to Mallorca on the O.85yrs team are Roddy Feely(Captain, Fitzwilliam), Eddie French(Carrickmines) and Brendan Mathews(Belfast Boat Club,

DLTC Senior League
The round robin section of DLTC Senior League came to a close on Sunday 1 October.
The Men's O.45 Men's 1st team qualified for the Class 2 quarter-finals and will play Templeogue 2 at home in Sutton LTC next Sunday 8 October at 10.30 am. Please come along and support the players in their matches.
The Ladies 035 1st team qualified for the semi-finals in Class 1. They play Carrickmines 1 away in Carrickmines LTC on Sunday 15th October. Time to be confirmed

DLTC Junior League
Our U14 girls and boys 2nd both picked up wins to stay in the mix for the play offs. Well done to the kids who were making their league debut for club last Sunday

Our men's O.65yrs team made the trip to Naas LTC this week to play. Their next match will be in Sutton LTC next Thursday 5th October at 11am

Please see the hooks now provided for our clay court drag mats. Please leave them on the hooks after use to protect the bristles.
If any member notices any issues with the courts i.e. broken net bands etc please report the fault to the office and it will be repaired.
Ladies Wednesday Morning Time Tennis
Ladies Time Tennis will be taking a break for August and will resume in September.

New Irish Squash Policy on playing squash and understanding the rules:
To enhance player safety and enjoyment it is Irish Squash policy to recommend to all squash players that they have a sufficient level of understanding of the Rules of Squash that they would achieve a WSO Level 0 qualification. For those who play competitively it is recommended that they achieve a Level 1 WSO qualification.

8 Sutton Junior Squash players will head to Malmo to take part in the Nordic Junior Open this weekend. There are 275 entries from all around the world from U/13 to U/19 Girls and Boys.

Results
Congratulations to Oisin Murphy from Naas Squash Club who won the U/11 Event in Sutton. Oisin beat Sutton’s Eoin O’Brien in the final with Tom Leonard in 3rd place and Olivia Ryan in 4th. Well done to all players and thanks to the volunteers who help run these tournaments.
