Well done to Aisling O’ Connor who has been representing her country at the Billie Jean King Cup in Portugal this week. Ireland have played Georgia, Lithuania, South Africa and Estonia so far with their final match v Kosovo today. Aisling played in the doubles v Lithuania and will hope to be involved vs Kosovo.

New Round Robins going up this week. Players who played no matches will be taken out. New players of all levels can join. Text Rob Turpin if you wish to join or played no matches and wish to stay in. All player who played a match will automatically stay in. Let Rob know if you are withdrawing this phase.

Apologies that our system was down. Please add your child's name to the waiting list for their class today Friday 14th of April. It will only take a moment

Classes are now on smartclubcloud.com. Players who were in February term will have 1st preference in April term in the class they were already in

How to sign up for Monday to Friday classes

1. Add your child's name to waiting list for same class as they were in before. Add your child's name by Tuesday April 11th. You can not directly sign up to a class.
2. We will then add your child to class. 
3. You will then receive a payment link through e mail.
4. Complete payment to confirm space in class

New Players or Players looking to switch class

1. Add your child's name to class they wish to join
2. If space becomes available you will be added

We can’t guarantee new players a spot in their 1st choice of class but will offer an alternative.

Junior Opens

Week 1 of the Easter holidays saw plenty of juniors play at various locations all over Ireland. Jennifer O' Connor had some huge wins on her way to becoming the Brookfield Junior Open champion in the Girls u14s. Jennifer won the final 12-10 in the champ tie break.

Emma Hickey reached the final of the Tour 500 event at the South of Ireland Championships at Limerick Lawn Tennis Club. Emma lost out in the champ tie break in a very close final. The girls both play Templeogue this week along with plenty more of the Sutton guys!

Junior League

We are back this week with the Junior League. Our stars and stripes teams play in the cup semi finals this Saturday. 

JUNIOR SPRING CHAMPIONSHIP

Nearly 100 juniors enjoyed 4 full days of tennis that ended with our finals night last Thursday. Thanks to Helen Quinn for all the help this week and to Lorraine Bracken and Della for looking after the pizza on finals night. Thanks to Christina Ryan for sorting the Easter eggs!

Ladies Wednesday Morning Time Tennis

This social tennis takes place every Wednesday morning at 10am and caters for all level of player.  All existing members and new members  welcome.

Are you a new member, new to tennis, returning to tennis or want to enjoy organised games  - this is the ideal place to take up your racquet and meet other members of SLTC

Our volunteer member, Carmel Gillespie, is on hand every Wednesday to organise the tennis from 10am-12pm.   Tennis is followed by tea/coffee and all are welcome.

 Sign up with Carmel in the Lounge at 9.50am every Wednesday.

BRESS BREDA PSA OPEN

Sam Buckley and Breanne Flynn are in the Netherlands taking part in the Bress Breda PSA Open

Breanne’s first opponent is Hollands Daniek Krukkert at 16.00 p.m. local time today.

Sam Buckley beat his first opponent Lukas Windischberger (AUSTRIA) 11/1, 11/4, 11/8. He will take on Blessing Muhwati (ZIM) today at 14.00 p.m. local time.

CANNON KIRK IRISH SQUASH SENIOR OPEN 2023

Tuesday 18th April – Saturday 22nd April.

This prestigious Event will take place next week in Fitzwilliam LTC. The Men's No:1 seed Eain Yow Ng is ranked 23 in the world and along with 23 other top world players. Sam Buckley received a Wild Card into the main draw.

Breanne Flynn received a Wild Card in the Women's draw and will take on some of the top players in the world.
