Eoin Collins photo - President Niall Curran presenting Eoin Collins with a copy of Dermot Quinn’s ‘My Serve’.

Eoin is an Honorary life member of the club. As many will remember Eoin is part of the Collins family that all grew up playing tennis in the club. Eoin represented the club in Class 1 league for many years with great success.

Eoin also went on to play Davis Cup for Ireland as well as representing Ireland and the 1988 Olympic Games in Barcelona.

Eoin lives in Houston Texas and was just home for a quick visit at the weekend visiting his father Paddy, so we were delighted to present Eoin with Dermot’s history of the club where Eoin gets several mentions.

Change the spins. Slice v Top Spin

Try play points where one person can only slice and one person has to play every ball with top spin. Great way to improve the feel of both spins. Whoever wins the point gets to choose which spin they play with. If you want a work out play with no volleys!
