The Management Committee cordially invites all members to attend a reception thanking Srdjan for his years of service to the club. Sutton Lawn Tennis Club has made great strides in the last

several years with Srdjan managing the club’s operations, facilities and membership. He has accepted an outstanding opportunity to join Novak Djokovic’s Tennis Center team in Serbia, and we wish him every success!

Please join us at 8.00pm in the clubhouse on Friday 10 February at 8.00pm for a Prosecco reception and nibbles, followed by a short presentation. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to tennis@suttonltc.com.

Captains' Dinner Sold Out - waiting list in operation

The Captains Dinner is now sold out.

Any member who had intended to purchase ticket/tickets should take the option to put themselves on the online waiting list. This option will be available if you go into the event via your smartclub account to purchase a ticket. Select the event and then take the option to add yourself to the waiting list. If 2 tickets are required add yourself to the list twice

U9 and U10 Open

Monday saw us run our first Open event of the year with the u9 and u10 leinster event. Over 50 kids from clubs all around Ireland competed. For some kids it was their first external event and it gave our own players a chance to compete against kids from so many different tennis clubs. Big thanks to Barbara Reamsbottom, Helen Holden, Della Kilduff along with all the juniors who umpired all day

Junior Development Coaching

No coaching for any junior classes the week of Feb 13th due to mid term. We do have our U10 doubles open along with our Winter Club Champs

Saturday Matchplay

New term starts this week

Our Saturday matchplay for girls at 10am, 11am and 12pm along with our Boys matchplay at 1pm will be open for sign up from January 17th. As we have more spaces in these sessions we do not use the waiting list. To sign up just add the class to your basket and complete payment to confirm the place. 

Irish Masters National Indoors 2023

The 2023 Irish Masters National Indoor Championships will take place in Belfast from Friday 17th February - Sunday 19th February.

Good luck to the following Sutton LTC players taking part in this event - Tom Barry, Carmel O Hare, Pat Dywer, Paula Lynskey, Una McEntee, Shirley Salvetta, Terry Donaghue and Heidi Higgins.

Junior Tournaments 

Good luck to Emma Hickey who is competing in Holland this week at the Ten Pro event. There are a good few Irish involved along with players from all over the world. 

The international events come home next week with the ITF in Castleknock and the U14 Tennis Europe in DCU. A few Sutton players will be battling to make the main draw.

Ladies Wednesday Morning Time Tennis

This social tennis takes place every Wednesday morning at 10am and caters for all level of player.  All existing members and new members  welcome.

Are you a new member, new to tennis, returning to tennis or want to enjoy organised games  - this is the ideal place to take up your racquet and meet other members of SLTC

Our volunteer member, Carmel Gillespie, is on hand every Wednesday to organise the tennis from 10am-12pm.   Tennis is followed by tea/coffee and all are welcome.

 Sign up with Carmel in the Lounge at 9.50am every Wednesday.
