Senior Team Tennis Finals Friday 13th January

The finals of Senior Team Tennis is on Friday the 13th at 7pm. Well done to the 40 players who took part. Everyone who is available will play on finals night. We will have our 3rd/4th place play off and our Final all happening from 7pm.

Camille will be  doing food for all competitors and the bar will be open for the night. Spectators are very welcome!

Junior Development Coaching

New term starts the week of Jan 30th. Players in current term will have 1st preference on their place for the new term. 

Classes will be set up next week for sign up. Players will need to add themselves to the waiting list first and then will be added to the class. 

The current term ends the week of January 23rd

Adult Coaching 

A new term of our Adult classes will start the week of January 16th. The classes are available now on smartclubcloud.com. The classes are first come first served

11am - DLTC League Doubles

12pm - Singles Drills and hitting

Wednesday Jan 18th

7pm - Adult Improvers

8pm - Singles Drills and Hitting - DLTC League level

Christmas Breakfast 

Our Annual Christmas Breakfast organised by Michael Byrne took place on Wednesday 28th December,

Despite some unpleasant weather on the day,  we had two sessions of tennis involving players of all standards.        

Our Snooker players were also involved in the event and Sean O Dwyer gathered a group of players for a pre-breakfast snooker session

Both the tennis players and snooker contingent adjourned to the lounge afterwards for breakfast and a post Christmas catch-up.

Thank you to Michael Byrne and his team for organising the event.

Ladies Wednesday Morning Time Tennis

This social tennis takes place every wednesday morning at 10am and caters for all level of player.  New members are especially welcome.  

Our volunteer member, Carmel Gillespie, is on hand every wednesday to organise the tennis from 10am-12pm.   Tennis is followed by tea/coffee and all are welcome.

Outdoor court conditions during winter weather

During the cold weather players are reminded to exercise caution on the outdoor courts

Our courts can be affected by frost, ice and snow during winter months.

Players must satisfy themselves that they are happy to play on affected courts before proceeding with their game.

Irish Squash are rolling out a new Tournament Software system for all events. Some of you might already be familiar with it. 

It is being used by Mt Pleasant for the Mt Pleasant Junior Open in November. If you plan to take part in any events including ONE DAY Tournaments you should look at it to familiarise yourself with the website.

Our body transformation began this week and is running for 6 weeks in total. The large room in the gym will be out of bounds during the body transformation classes. These are on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays @7am & 6:30pm
