Coaches Corner
Let's maximise the fun we have on court by using the shots that we love to play. Next time you're on court work hard with your feet to hit more inside out Forehand or rush to the net for some volleys, whatever you like. It's always important to practice our weaker shots but sometimes it's good to relax and hit some shots that you love to do
Junior League
Thanks to all the players who competed in the group stages. Our girls u14 2nd and our girls u18s both still have a chance to make the play offs.

IRISH SQUASH REFEREE COURSE
Take a step along the road to qualifying as referees or just better understand The Rules of Squash. This is a great opportunity to learn the rule for all players of all standards.
We will run a Level 1 Refereeing Session on Monday, October 17 at 7:30 to 8:30 to cover:
- Rules Overview
- Marker and Referee Calls
- Interference
- WSO Platform
or email refereeingsecretary@irishsquash.com to request a link.
SQUASH SHOES AND OTHER RULES
We must remind players that Shoes with Black Soles are not permitted even if they say NON MARKING. Check you Racket Grips are in good condition, If they are old they disintegrate and will shed onto the floor and permanently mark them.
Also we have had to remove chewing Gum, Stones, Food and other damaging items from the courts. It is very important that we respect the courts and refrain from bringing food, drinks and dirt on court.
LASTLY, some Juniors are NOT wearing their Squash Goggles on court!!!! It is so important that you ensure they wear their Goggles. It is compulsory world wide until they reach 19 year and there is a good reason. If you are hit with a squash ball in the EYE it is very unlikely the eye will recover. If a junior is seen on court without goggles they will be told to leave the court. If they continuously refuse to abide by the rules of squash they will be reported to management.
