Social Tennis Night - Thank you to members

We ran our first social tennis night last Friday night 1st April organised by our Captains Linda O’Flaherty and Ajay Prabahkaran and the new Social Tennis Committee

We are delighted to report that the fantastic amount of €1,229 was raised, through this event, for the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Appeal

Thank you to our members who came and supported us for our first social tennis night of the year and made it possible to raise this large amount of money for a worthy cause. Your enthusiasm and participation on the night was much appreciated

The Captains would also like to extend thanks to the Social Committee for coordinating the event. John Burke and Stephen Loughney for sourcing and organising the food, Shelly Burke and Linda Devaney for organising the tennis and the raffle, and Orna Morrissey for setting up the event

Thank you to Martina Murray for making the contact with Celtic Candles who provided the lovely hamper for the raffle

Our Vice President Barbara also presented Captains Linda and Ajay with their pins and jackets. Best of luck for the year ahead to both and many thanks to all the supporters on the night. Watch out for more social events coming over the next few weeks.

Gym Classes

The following classes are available on our timetable. Book in on My Courts to attend classes.

Circuits, Body Blast, Boxercise, Strength & Conditioning, Spin & Abs, Spin & Pump and Teen Fitness.

 

Any class recommendations feel free to let one of the Fitness Instructors know and we will try our best to get it onto the timetable if there is enough demand.

 

SENIOR SQUASH

BRESS BREDA PSA OPEN 2022

Good luck to Conor Moran and Sam Buckley who are playing in the BRESS Breda Open in the Netherlands this week!

The first round matches begin tomorrow, Thursday. Conor faces a tough opponent in the #2 seed Sergio Garcia Pollan (ESP) at 6pm, while Sam goes in as the #7 seed and will take on Matthew Lai (HKG) at 9pm. Both players are looking sharp and hungry to win after training with the Irish National Team last weekend, and we're excited to see their hard work in action this week.

To All members, After our first and very success Social Squash night, we will be holding the next on Friday 8th April 2022 from 7pm - 9pm. Great work in being done to promote the Irish Squash PSA Group training out of Sutton. You can follow them on Instagram. At present Sutton have 11 players: Breanne Flynn, Conor Moran, Sam Buckley, Oisin Logan, David Ryan, Denis Gilevskiy, Alex Smith, Gavin L’Estrange, Dean Dromgoole, Michael Creaven & Dylan Moran.

JUNIOR SQUASH CLUB CHAMPS 2022

23rd - 28th May 2022 Matches will take place after school. Matches will be timed. If you wish to change time you must organise outside of competition time and must be played before next match is scheduled Cost: 1 Event €10, 2 Events €15 Juniors can play in their own age group and next group up. Suitable for all standards. U/9 Fun Event also. BBQ on Last Day Lets make it a good one.

JUNIOR ACTIVITY CAMPS

This Camp is designed to provide Juniors with a week of Fun and Games including Squash, Tennis,

Uni-Hoc, Ball Skill, Rounders etc.

Juniors will enjoy a structured Camp in a safe environment and with a chance to try out Squash and Tennis on a non-competitive basis.

WEEK 1: 11th – 15th July

WEEK 2: 25th – 29th July

€95 per week per child.
