Oisin Logan beat fellow Sutton player Sam Buckley 3/1 to take the Title of the Limerick PSA Open.

Sutton, once again had great results taking the top 6 spots.

MASTERS TEAM SELECTION 2022

We are delighted to announce the Sutton players who were selected to represent Irish Squash at the Home Internationals

SOCIAL SQUASH – A GREAT SUCCESS

We held our first Social Squash event last Friday and it was a great success. Kevin Quirke organised fun games and prizes for all, followed by drinks in the bar. We will let you know when the next one will be on and hopefully you can make it.

LADIES SATURDAY SQUASH – NEW CLASS

Due to interest in these great Ladies beginner / improver Ladies Squash Classes we have added an extra class from 1.00 p.m. – 2.00 p.m.

These are fun classes and a great way to get fit. Email squash@suttonltc.com if you would like to join us.

Great work in being done to promote the Irish Squash PSA Group training out of Sutton. You can follow them on Instagram. JUNIOR SQUASH

3 TITLES AT THE JUNIOR NATIONALS 2022

Following a wonderful weekend of squash in Waterford we are thrilled to announce that Sutton players took 3 Titles home.

Denis Gilevskiy won the Boys U/19

Rebecca Jackson won the Girls U/13

Conal Jackson won the Boys U/15

Dylan Moran was 2nd in the Mens U/19

Tristan Snodgrass was 2nd in the Boys U/17

Zoe Yeomans was 2nd in the Girls U/15

Lucy Walsh was 2nd in the Girls U/13

This event will determine selection for the Junior Teams representing Irish Squash at the 5 Nations, European Championships and World Championships. Many Sutton Juniors are in contention and we will let you know when the teams are announced.

SUMMER JUNIOR ACTIVITY CAMPS

This Camp is designed to provide Juniors with a week of Fun and Games including Squash, Tennis,

Uni-Hoc, Ball Skill, Rounders etc.

Juniors will enjoy a structured Camp in a safe environment and with a chance to try out Squash and Tennis on a non-competitive basis.

WEEK 1: 11th – 15th July

WEEK 2: 25th – 29th July

€95 per week per child.

PAYMENT MUST ACCOMPANY FORM TO SECURE PLACE.

Gym Opening Hours for 17^th & 18^th March

·         The gym will be open 8am-6pm on both days.

·         Classes will run @9am & 10am both days.

·         There will be no teen fitness classes or evening classes.

‘Summer Shred’- Body transformation

·         Beginning 28^th March for 6 weeks.

·         Monday, Wednesday & Fridays @5:30pm or 6:30pm

·         3 workouts per week, Nutrition support, WhatsApp support, before and after measurements, etc.

Gym Rules

·         We are still using the online booking system. Please book your timeslot before arrival. This is for the gym & classes.

·         Upon arrival of the gym all we ask is you have your swipe card to use at the turnstile as this will be how we continue to check members in, if you do not have a swipe card you can get one from the club reception.

·         When exiting you can exit from the back door of the gym or through the turnstile the same way you came in. Please keep door beside turnstile closed at all times, this is for wheelchair users only!

·         Please continue to sanitise before and after use of all equipment.

Personal Training

·         1-1 or semi-private sessions.

·         Can be purchased as a single session or block of 8.

Tennis  Masters  80+  Championships

Men's Doubles  2022

The Sutton pairing of Terry Donaghue and Sean O'Dwyer got the Masters Leagues off to a satisfactory start by taking the Runner-up Pennant in the six team one day event at Sandycove on Monday last.  They lost out to repeat winners, Templeogue, on the head-to-head result  after finishing equal first on points scored. A good day's work with positive results over Castleknock,  Fitzwilliam,  Glenageary and the home team.  

Brendan Farrelly (70+)  and Paddy Cooney(75+) will be leading their respective squads into action next week with the ambition of securing qualification for the Combined Ages All-Ireland finals in May.

These competitions are providing senior age-group players with the opportunity to compete against foes of days past in a realist and friendly environment.

The Annual General Meeting of Sutton Lawn Tennis Club will be held on Monday 21stMarch 2022 at 8:00pm.

The Agenda for thisAGMand minutes of the previous AGM held on 29th March 2021 were emailed separately and are displayed on the Club noticeboard for your information. 

Supplementary AGM papers (the Honorary Secretary’s report, the Honorary Treasurer’s report and 2021 Annual Accounts) will be issued in the coming weeks.

Details of the Annual Subscription rates will also accompany these papers.

We are seeking new nominations for Management Committee and welcome nominations from any member.

• We would like to encourage more participation from women and young adult members of the Club
• Similarly, members with Marketing and Social Media skills are also welcome

If you are interested in becoming part of the Management Committee for 2022 please indicate your interest to the Club Manager, Srdjan Kisic (srdjan.kisic@suttonltc.com) who will assist you with completion of the Nomination Form.

 

SLTC Lane Entrance 

The yellow box on the main road at the entrance of the lane into SLTC has been reinstated, therefore entering/exiting should be much easier and safer. The poles at the entrance that have been put in for the cycle lanes have been widened out to give cars entering/exiting more space.
