Inter provincialHonours for Sutton LTC players
Congratulations to the following players who have been selected by Leinster Tennis to represent Leinster in the upcoming Senior Interprovincials.
Pat Dwyer, Tom Barry, Sean O Dwyer, Terry Donaghue, Carmel O Hare, Una McEntee, Heidi Higgins, Rob Turpin, Brendan Mulligan and Audrey Bolger. Corry de Jongh was also selected but unfortunately is injured at the moment.

New Members Nights
Our Captains Nessa Goodman and Graham Duggan along with our Vice-Captains Linda O Flaherty and Ajay Prabhakaran hosted two evenings last Friday night and Saturday night for new members
The evenings were a great success and gave new members the opportunity to meet other members and enjoy a social game of tennis.
The players adjourned to the bar afterwards on both evenings to enjoy a drink and the surroundings of our newly refurbished Lounge.
Thank you to all the new members that came along and we will be holding two further evenings on Friday 5th November 7pm- 9pm and on Saturday 6th November 6pm – 8pm
Time Tennis Fund Raiser for St. Francis Hospice Wednesday 27th October
Next Wednesday the Ladies who attend the Wednesday Time tennis are organising a raffle to raise funds for St. Francis Hospice in Raheny
All Ladies welcome at 10am to play tennis and support the raffle and enjoy a cup of tea afterwards
As it is Halloween Week expect to see some strangely dressed players on court!!!! – fancy dress optional
Please support this fund raising event and if you would like to donate a spot prize for the raffle please leave it at reception before Wednesday 27th October.

SENIOR SQUASH
PSA CHALLENGE RESULTS
Oisin Logan played in the Parklangley Open 2021 PSA Challenge in England and thin his first round he beat Alisdair Shapcott 11/4, 16/14, 11/4. He then played and beat Will Salter from England 3/0 - 17/15, 11/8, 11/6 to reach the Quarters.
Oisin had a third match on Saturday evening and once again he came through that match against Dave Haley from Wales, winning 3/1.
Next up was Josh Masters who is ranked 124 on the Professional Squash Ranking and Oisin lost to Josh.
Sam Buckley, Conor Moran and Breanne Flynn all came through their first round matches in their draws. Breanne was beaten by the No:1 seed in her second round.
Sam and Conor played each other for a place in the Semi Finals with Conor Moran coming out on top but lost to Alistair Prott in his next round match.

4 Sutton Players took part in the Irish Squash Masters Challenge Tournament last weekend.

Returning member Orla O’Doherty won the Womens Over 50 event. Well Done Orla
Aoileann NÍ ChomhraÍ was runner-Up in the Womens Over 35/40 section losing to Number 1 seed Siobhan Parker 12-10, 11-4, 11-6. Well Done Aoileann

LADIES INTRODUCTION TO SQUASH CONTINUED
Due to the great success of the Introduction to Squash for Ladies day we decided to hold a 5 week course to bring our ladies to Play standard.
The course is full now but if you are interested we will hold another one.

SQUASH BALL MACHINE
A great addition to Squash! We have two squash ball machines for SENIOR Solo Practice, with one more to follow. This is a superb way to practice on your own. It is advised that all players wear squash goggles while using the ball machine.

NEW TOURNAMENT SOFTWARE
Irish Squash are rolling out a new Tournament Software system for all events. Some of you might already be familiar with it,

It is being used by Mt Pleasant for the Mt Pleasant Junior Open in November. If you plan to take part in any events including ONE DAY Tournaments you should look at it to familiarise yourself with the website. It is my understanding that your login for the old software will work with this. Try it.
We will let you know more details as we get them.

Gym
Body Transformation
With all bar one space filled for body transformation, we look forward to getting started with those of you who have committed to the 6 week block starting on Tuesday 26th of October. Body transformation will consist of 2 sessions per week for 6 weeks, a food diary, Whatsapp support, weekly check ins and more. Best of luck to all of those who have signed up!
Class timetable
A reminder to all gym members that we have added in 8am classes to our timetable on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, make sure to book in and give our classes a try.
Gym book-in system
To those that are using the gym, please ensure we are using the book-in system and sticking to our time slots. This ensures we do not go over our max 15 capacity and helps to keep members safe.
Bank Holiday Opening Hours
the gym will open 8am-6pm on Monday 25th October due to it being a bank holiday. Classes will replicate Sundays timetable. any questions feel free to ask any of the team and we will be more than happy to help.

AIRHALL BOOKINGS
Reminder to all members using the Airhall – as per booking rules: A playing player cannot avail of two consecutive time slots even if the time slots are booked by an opponent in singles or separate players from the doubles partnership.
Lights
Please note that all lights fees on all tennis courts, including the Airhall, all squash courts and all snooker tables are now €0.01 per hour. This will remain in place until the end of the calendar year as per commitment given to you by the Management Committee.
