    Rescheduling of Airhall Reinstatement to Monday 11th October

    Due to unforeseen circumstances the Rocklyn Engineers could not be on onsite at SLTC this week to reinstate the Airhall.
    Monday 11th October at 9.30am is the new confirmed date for the Airhall to go back up.
    We will still need the help of our invaluable volunteers for a couple of hours from 9.30am on Monday 11th October.
    Please let the office know oninfo@suttonltc.com if you would like to offer a helping hand on the day.
    Generous incentives will be offered on the day. Looking forward to seeing you there.

    DLTC Winter League

    The last of the round robin matches for Winter League take place on Sunday 10th October.   We have had 9 ladies teams and 8 mens teams competing over the last 4 weeks to earn places in the league play-offs.

    The ladies 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 9th are all in contention to qualify for the play-offs.

    The mens 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th teams are well placed in their classes and this weekend,s matches will determine their final positioning.

    SLTC Masters 2021 – Autumn Events and Veteran Championships

    The SLTC Masters 2021 event is now open for entries on ti.tournamentsoftware.com.

    This club event is for members only and is made up of the Autumn Events and the Veteran Championship events.

    Closing date for entries is Thursday 14th October.  

    Matches are played outdoors ie Airhall cannot be used for matches

    Finals take place on Saturday 13th November.  Finals may take place on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th November if required, by the Tennis Committee, for scheduling purposes.  Players must be available to play finals on these dates.

    Players with limited availability during the dates of this tournament should not enter multiple events as round deadlines will be strictly adhered to.

    INSOMNIA COFFEE PSA SATELLITE SQUASH TOURNAMENT 3

    We are looking forward to hosting the 3rd PSA Challenge Event in Sutton LTC. We are delighted to be able to welcome supporters to come along and watch this amazing Squash in your own club. The matches will also be streamed on https://www.irishsquash.com

    The first round matches will be held on Friday from 6 p.m. with Semi Finals on Saturday and Final on Sunday.

    4th PLACE FOR ALEX

    Alex Smith travelled to Denmark to take part in the Kolding PSA Challenge Senior Tournament. Alex won his first 3 matches bringing him to the semi finals but lost the next two games against more experienced players. Amazing effort from Alex as he took the first step into PSA playing abroad.     ROLL ON – 22nd OCTOBER  

    Irish Squash are delighted with news of the easing of restrictions for indoor sports announced by the Government on August 31st. Sport Ireland provided further clarification for our sector and this is included below for your information.

    In summary, from September 20th, training and competitive play may resume as normal for those who have proof of immunity to Covid-19. If all participants are not immune, then training in pods of 6 will be permitted.

    October 22nd is the date when remaining restrictions will be removed.

    Irish Squash will be scheduling meetings to plan the 2021/22 calendar now that we have a roadmap to work with.

    A great addition to Squash! We have two squash ball machines for SENIOR Solo Practice, with one more to follow. This is a superb way to practice on your own. It is advised that all players wear squash goggles while using the ball machine.

    Class Timetable

    From Monday 11th of October we will be trialling a new class timetable in the gym. We will be trialling new classes and new class times. Some of the new classes include HIIT Cardio, Spin & Abs, TRX & Kettlebell, Body Blast, and for the teenagers we have Teen Fitness 4 times per week.

    The class times in the mornings will have a slight change, the 9:15am & 10:15am will both be changing to 9am & 10am respectively. There is also an 8am class on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays. The 8am classes will run for 30 minutes.

    Personal Training

    For those who are looking for extra training/ guidance in their training, our team of trainers are more than happy to give 1-1 or small group training to anyone who may be interested. If this is something you would like then feel free to pop into the gym and one of our trainers will get you started or give you some more information.
