Junior Opens Lucy Bell Hogan made finals of sing Junior Opens 

Lucy Bell Hogan made finals of singles and doubles at the ITF event in Belfast clinching some more vital world ranking points. 

Georgia L' Estrange came so close in the girls u18 final in Lansdowne. William Kell won the Boys u18s, with Ciaran McKenna and Sally Flynn teaming up to take the mixed u14 title.
Ciaran also made semis with James McGoldrick in the doubles.

Lauren Wade was the winner of 18s at the Connacht Junior Open in Galway. Gavin Murphy lost a battle in the boys u12 final in Greystones. 

Plenty more on this week including the next international event in Naas. Special mention for Georgia who won all 3 of her qualification matches in champ TBs
Congrats to William Kell who won the u18 singles a Congrats to William Kell who won the u18 singles at the Lansdowne Junior Open today. William also went to No.1 in Ireland in the boys u16 national rankings this week. Fantastic achievement for William.
Junior Team Tennis wrapped up today with a big gam Junior Team Tennis wrapped up today with a big game of beat the champ and our prize giving. 80 players played over the month with over 50 making it down today! Thanks to all the players, coaches and parents for supporting the event. Thanks to Barbara for making sure all the kids got pizza!
Isoblel and Sarah's team were our winners winning by just 6 points from Brendan and Georgia's team. Loads more tennis over the summer with our summer programme and camps.
More success for the Sutton crew on the national a More success for the Sutton crew on the national and international front this week.
Carrickmines hosts one of the biggest opens of the junior calendar and we had plenty involved.
Lucy Bell Hogan won singles and doubles in the 18s with Georgia L'estrange runner up in both.
William Kell had semi finals in both the 16s and 18s with Eoin Quinn making semis of 16s.
Markas Grazhulis made 2 semis and Jean Loughney also made semis of 14s.
Sally Flynn and Charlotte Maguire won the u14 doubles...4 years after winning the u10 one at the same event!
Lauren Wade made a final 2 weeks in a row this time in Bishopstown.

At the junior ITF event in Belfast, Lucy Bell Hogan, Georgia L'estrange, Caitlin Burke, Zara Burns, William Kell and Eoin Quinn have all made the main draw and now have a chance of world ranking points. 
Emma Hickey finished her week in Belgium making quarters of both the u11s and U12s. Well done to everyone. More junior action this week in lansdowne and hopefully some senior success in Glasnevin.

chance to compete in PSA tournaments so
we're excited to get back to the action!
Alex has a bye into the second round where
he will play the winner of Ross Oliver (ENG)
and Lewis Poole (ENG) on Saturday at
11:30am. Dylan plays his first match today at
4:30pm against George Thomas (WAL).

We lost some of Lauren and Emma in our last post! We lost some of Lauren and Emma in our last post! Lauren was the champ in Castlebar and Emma is flying the flag in Belgium!
Lots of success for the Sutton crew at home and ab Lots of success for the Sutton crew at home and abroad. 
At the Mount Pleasent Senior Open we Meaghan Butler made the final of the ladies class 2 singles with Isobel O' Flaherty making semis. Isobel also made the doubles final. Mary O' Donovan made semis of class 3/4.

Ciaran McKenna made it back to back titles winning the 14s in Castlebar. Lauren  Wade was the champion in the 18s.

Micheal MacCanna picked up his first Open title winning the Tour 100 in Carrickmines. Ronan Rivera McMahon was in the semis.

On the international stage Emma Hickey is competing in the Ten Pro event at the Kim Clijsters Academy in Belgium and picked up a win in her first match yesterday. Eoin Considine and Conor McKenna have been in Pretoria, South Africa the last 3 weeks with some Irish players for the Junior ITF events. Zara Burns made main draw 2 of the 3 weeks.

Non Members can contact the office to secure one of the limited spaces. All levels aged 6- 12 welcome. We also have a teenage tennis camps for juniors looking for a fun week of tennis without getting too serious!

Well done to Jean Loughney who won the u14 doubles at the Co.Wicklow Open. James McGoldrick was runner up in the u14 singles in Glasnevin. Georgia L' Estrange was a semi finalist in St. Anne's in the u18s.

Well done to Sarah Bolger, Sally Flynn, Charlotte Maguire and Jennifer O' Connor who beat Cellbridge girls 2/1 in the final today in Sutton. Well done to Kate Lacy and Jean loughney who also played for the team during the campaign
Well done to the Sutton guys that competed in the Well done to the Sutton guys that competed in the northside stars and stripes finals yesterday evening. The girls u14s and u16s both came home with the u14 shield. We had 30 kids aged between 12 and 16 take part over the campaign between the u14s and u16s. Big thanks to Allison Devally who runs the whole thing. It's become one of the most important competitions now for keeping kids involved in tennis. Well done everyone!

Aidan or Mr. B as he was known to many was an integral part of Sutton LTC for many years and sparked the love of tennis in so many players that still play today. It's very special that his name still gets said every day in our club.

The young seniors interprovincials took place in M The young seniors interprovincials took place in Malahide over the weekend. After a full weekend of tennis Leinster came out as winner s! We were delighted to have a strong representation of Sutton members on the Leinster team. Well done to Brendan Mulligan, Barbara Reamsbottom, Susan Hunter and Yvonne Lawlor who were all part of the winning side. Audrey Bolger was part of the organising committee who ensured the whole weekend came together smoothly!
