MENS AND LADIES PILATES CLASSES STARTING MONDAY 3RD APRIL
What a fantastic day for Sutton LTC yesterday, with the much anticipated visit of Judy Murray …. and boy, she didn’t disappoint! There was something to learn by kids and adults of all ages …. and all abilities …. in two fun and information packed clinics – lots of skills training, tips and anecdotes about her famous boys, Andy and Jamie – she even agreed that Andy can be a ‘grouchy bugger’ sometimes while on court. She’d lots of stories about her time coaching kids in Scotland and also about her time on “Strictly Come Dancing”. Following the clinics and after endless photos and autograph signing, Judy officially opened the new and improved airhall. She was clearly impressed by the size of the club and by its recent additions of new airhall, new squash courts and gym and also at the amazing community spirit within the club, which she referred to in her speech. She joined members for tea and lots of tennis-themed cakes in the lounge after the presentation, where her relaxed humour and warmth were there for all to see! Judy also got to meet Richard Fahy CEO of Tennis Ireland and local lad – as well as do an exclusive interview with Johnny Watterson of The Irish Times! What a great day – thanks to Judy for making the visit
JUDY MURRAY VISIT THIS SATURDAY The ballot for tickets is now completed and all the winners have been emailed. Due to unprecedented demand we extended the seating availability. However, all the tickets have now been allocated and there are no more available to purchase.
It promises to be a wonderful event
Please arrive as early as 12-12:30pm on the day to ensure everyone is seated as Judy commences her clinic at 1pm sharp! Judy likes to pick volunteers from the crowd so please wear your tennis gear if you want to be considered to be on the court. Bring only your racquet as no tennis bags will be allowed in the Air Hall. Judy will officially open our Airhall at 4pm, followed by afternoon tea in the lounge. Please note that no food or drink will be allowed inside the Airhall.
Due to overwhelming interest for the event we strongly encourage everyone attending to leave their cars at home, if at all possible, as parking on the premises will be under severe pressure OVER FLOW CAR PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ST. FINTANS CHURCH AND SUTTONIANS RUGBY CLUB. Mary Considine has asked that cakes be brought to the Club between 12 and 12.30 on Saturday and if any Member had a tiered cake stand, could they bring it along.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
